ABOUT DYLAN
Dylan Gregg is a bass-baritone from Salisbury, Maryland earning acclaim for his “booming young voice of effortless projection and smooth tone quality” (Palm Beach Daily News).
Recent debuts in the 2025-2026 season include the role of Roucher in Andrea Chénier with OperaDelaware, Snug with Opera Theatre of St. Louis in their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (where he also covered the role of Bottom), and Super Intendant Budd in Opera Baltimore’s Albert Herring.
During the 2024-2025 season, Dylan made his debut as a Young Artist at Palm Beach Opera, singing the roles of The Duke in Roméo et Juliette, Dottore Grenvil in La traviata, and Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro.
He returned to The Santa Fe Opera in 2024 for his second year as an Apprentice Artist and covered the role of Masetto in Don Giovanni. During the summer of 2023 at Santa Fe, Dylan covered the role of Plutone in Nico Muhly’s new orchestration of Monteverdi’s Orfeo and sang the role of Jailor in Tosca. He spent his 2022 through 2024 seasons at The Academy of Vocal Arts where he performed Leporello in Don Giovanni, Collantinus in The Rape of Lucretia, Enrico in Anna Bolena, and Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia.

Dylan was a Studio Artist at Wolf Trap Opera in 2022, singing the roles of Cuno in Der Freischütz, Elder Ott in Susannah, and Dottore Grenvil in La traviata.
As an Apprentice Artist at Des Moines Metro Opera in 2019 and 2020, he covered the roles of Colline in La bohème, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, and The First Apprentice in Wozzeck. In 2019, Dylan sang with Opera Iowa in The Magic Flute as Sarastro.
Mr. Gregg graduated with his Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and earned his Bachelor of Music from Boston University.
Active on the competition circuit, Mr. Gregg is proud to have received the 2026 Cheryl and Richard Hack Award and Melanie and Michael Teems Encouragement Award as a Finalist in the Annapolis Opera Competition, the 2024 Santa Fe Opera Encouragement Award, the 2023 Santa Fe Opera Grant, Second Place in the 2022 Mario Lanza Competition, and the 2021 Encouragement Award from the Arkansas District of The Metropolitan Opera National Council.
Next season, Dylan will be making his debut at Opera Omaha singing the role of Truffaldino in their production of Ariadne auf Naxos.
